1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GoldHunter ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

GoldHunter provides AI-powered geology analysis and community features including:

• AI photo analysis for gold potential and mineral identification
• Community sharing of geological finds and discoveries
• Location-based geological context
• Social features (likes, comments, sharing)
• Analysis history and expedition tracking

3. Free Service

GoldHunter is a free service. All features are available to all users at no cost. The Service is supported by advertising. We reserve the right to introduce optional premium features in the future, but core functionality will remain free.

4. User Accounts

Some features require a registered account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete registration information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

Guest users may access basic features without an account, including AI photo analysis.

5. User Content

By uploading photos or sharing finds, you grant GoldHunter a non-exclusive license to display, store, and process your content for the purposes of providing the Service. You retain ownership of your content. Shared finds are visible to other community members.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Scrape or harvest data without permission
• Misrepresent AI analysis results as professional geological assessments
• Impersonate others or provide false information

7. AI Analysis Accuracy

Our AI analysis uses computer vision to assess photos. Results are estimates and may be inaccurate. The Service does not guarantee the accuracy of mineral identification, gold potential ratings, or geological assessments. AI analysis should not be relied upon for:

• Financial investment decisions
• Mining claim purchases or land transactions
• Safety-critical geological assessments
• Professional geological surveys

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by GoldHunter and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Advertising

The Service displays advertisements provided by third parties, including Google AdSense. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Ads are clearly labeled and do not interfere with core app functionality.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoldHunter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits or revenue based on AI analysis results
• Personal injury or property damage during prospecting activities
• Errors in AI analysis or mineral identification
• Service interruptions or data loss

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GoldHunter, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
